Checked out of Hotel in Alexandria. Visited the Catacombs, which is the antient Roman underground burial site. This was found by a donkey that was walking and fell into a hole. Then on to the fort, best remembered for being on the site of the ancient lighthouse that was built in around 200 + BC. They are currently excavating the site in the new harbour.
Left for Cairo,the smog lifted enough and we got to see in the distance the great pyramids of Giza...I'm so excited. Arrive at our lovely 5star hotel. Very swish. Went for a walk through town and got supplies from super market "chocky". Ha and just for you Maccas freaks here we are with the Cheeseburger.
May I please request that a pic is arranged of you both walking like Egyptian's in front of a pyramid?
